    C451

We just replaced the HV1 board on a Bizhub C451 for the problem of pulling developer from the black I.U. When we were finished, we made 100+ black copies with no problems. When we tried color copies, on the second or third copy, we got a multi-colored smudgy image on the lead edge of the copy. It looks like it may be a light, smeared repeat of the pattern from earlier copies. We replaced the belt assembly with the same results. Any ideas?

Yes, increase the 1st transfer roller voltage on all colors set them to 7. That should solve that issue.

Thanks Haroldb. We did change the transfer voltage and the problem went away. Worrisome, but better than nothing.
