    Toner Droplets on prints

I have C6500. Recently I have been getting black toner droplets on my prints. Sometimes they smear, on one sided jobs, sometimes gets on back side. Changed the toner couple times to make sure it wasn't bad toner. Machine looks clean on the side. Drums looks good. Transfer belt is brand new.

Any thoughts? Got a lot of jobs and now I'm stuck!

    Any help will be great!

When was the last time the developer was changed? When you changed toner did you run the toner purge? If not then you need to run 5000 +/- to remover the toner that is in the sub hopper and the dev unit.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

      Hi-thanks for your response.

      Print count- 457k
      Developer was changed around 250k
I did not run toner refresh when I changed the toner. Do you think one of the bottles was bad and when I changed the bottle I should have ran the toner refresh? Do you think running toner refresh now will help? Reason I am avoiding doing it is that sometimes the machine codes out when I run toner refresh. I think a C-2470 code.

Toner refresh did not work. Spotting still occurs.

          Toner drops

I had a new machine do this on install it was the dev unit. It would put drops on the first couple, then if the machine was done a set and came to a rest when restarted it would drop more toner. Mine was the black dev unit.

Thanks. Mine is on the black also. What did you do? Replacement the developer only or replace the entire black developer unit?
