    Km 7135 - removal of optics fan p/n 26ta-7390 (fm3)

    I need tio replace the optics cooling fan on a 7135. I can not see how to remove\install it. The parts and service manual offer no help at all. Anybody out there have any instructions? Thanks

      youve got the "fun" one! start at the top and work your way down to it. remove the scanner .sorry you have to go through this. remove doc feed to reduce weight. then remove scanner mounting screws/ wires, lift off scanner then you areat the fan.

          Good advice, pull adf, remove back panel and make sure to get all of the cables, then remove the glass and get to the screws from the top, they are in pairs, i think there are 3 or 4 pairs for a total of 6or8 screws. The first time is a pain, after that its a breeze, just take your time and pull all of the panels to get a clear visual.
