cf5001 error high fuser temperature at TH2

I got an error sc36-02 which i believe is same as F36-2 That would be high fuser temperature.
If I get another fuser unit and swap it out. Will that work or do I need to clear the code first.

You will need to reset the error code first. You'll find the procedure in the Service Manual.
