    bizhub c353 won't print from windows 7

I have a remote client on a Peer to Peer network. His XP and Vista PC's print with no issues. Using the Windows 7 driver downloaded from Konica, his two Windows 7 64bit PC's will send a print signal to the printer which will blink it's data light a couple times and then do nothing. No failed print indication on the PC's, the job has left the print spool, just no completed print or attempt to print on the BizHub. Any ideas?

What version firmware is in the machine? If it's too far out of sync then the machine may not print (newer driver / older firmware). Had a c280 do that to me recently.

    Regards!

I'm much more a server admin than a printer tech. I see multible ROM versions, what is it that I'm looking for?

Mfp controller primarily, it'll be a 2 character combination.. example follows: A02E0Y0-0100-G00-R5. The last 2 characters are the main version for the mfp board. Major revisions started @ 21 (here in Canada anyway), 62, 78, 88, j8, r5 and r6 (which is the current flavour, but r5 is pretty much identical for the most part)..

We have had luck using the Vista 64 bit driver when the 7 driver gives us trouble.
            Hope this helps

Go into admin mode, printer settings and turn on print post script errors, if it is this type of error you will get a printout with the exact error. Also, as Mr Spock posted, from the control panel you can see why the job failed. Could also be a user authentication/account track setting issue if this is enabled. Emujo

What does show up in the job list? Are they using account track or user Auth? If that is turned on and not set up in driver machine will receive the job and just delete it, but it will show in job list history.

I'll try the Vista driver and see if it makes a difference

Tried the Vista driver and it did not print. The PC's can see the printer, access the printer admin console, so I know there is not a network issue. It's in communicating to the software.

                          Printing - Resolved

Three cheers for authentication. They do have print authentication turned on. Four numbers later and they are happy campers. Thanks for the clue.
