    BizHub c500 change charge control

    How can i lower the charge on black developer. What code. What is actually changing.

      The charge on the black developer is called the Bias.
      Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.

              May I ask why you wanna play with it? In my past 5 years of working on the 8050/C500/C6500/C6501 and 5500... I don't think I've ever gone in and played with it on any color.

                  Sure - I'm using Not OEM black toner, I believe that the toner I have has a different charge.
                  Would like to see if it works in this machine.

                      I understant the reason to modified the bias; C500 are "eating" a lot of tonner. I may possible to change the developer. I have in service a C500 and when the machine are eating a large quatity of toner always the problem are the developer. ( I am courios about the waste toner box; are the box fill with toner fast?)
                      I think RRodgers have right!

                          Ok, I think I know what you are after then. What you NEED is to change some of the dip switches in the machine. Raising the number of copies the machine does until it does a process control.
