[Error Code] Konica Minolta Machine Trouble C0070 code

We are IT personnel working on a newly acquired Konica Minolta Bizhub 163. We have followed the installation instructions carefully and the printer was working for a while before it gave out the machine trouble code C0070. Any idea on what could have gone wrong? How can we solve this problem hope you can help us on this. Thanks in advance.

there is no listing of a konicaminolta bixhub 163. Double check you info and re-post. Older Minolta products with a C0070 error code were toner related. Emujo

In Europe there is a Bizhub 163. Looks like the Di-183 family.

Tonerbottle not sitting right. Remove tonerbottle carefully, switch on copier without bottle and wait several minutes until the machine comes to rest. (This to allow the mechanism, which drives the bottle, to come back in its startposition). Than reinsert the bottle but check before if the notches on it are damaged or deformed.

Thanks for your reply. The info is correct its a Bizhub 163. I found one similar post for a Bizhub 162 and hope that this will solve the problem. I've emailed it already to my friend in our site to try.

check the toner bottle home position sensor.

C0070
Toner replenishing motor
malfunction
• The toner bottle home position sensor (PS6) outputs a
HIGH signal for a continuous 3.5-sec. period while the
toner bottle is turning.
• The toner bottle home position sensor (PS6) outputs a
LOW signal for a continuous 2-sec. period while the toner

bottle is turning.

Check the developer drive. I had a 183 recently that broke the drive gear on the rear of the developer unit. It kept trying to add toner but no drive into the mixing chamber even, a BIG mess.
