minolta di 470 doc feeder not recognizing sizes

off the glass the machine will detect letter and legal. off the df it will feed and then stop and say (matching paper size not available) at least I think that is what it said. if you at that point manually select a tray then it will be fine. I have unplugged and plugged in the df. I have initialized the machine. and also have checked the length sensors in the tech rep mode. I may have to replace the pwb a in the df. what are some thoughts on this? thanks

Does the machine say what size original is in the feeder when you place it on the tray? I had a machine that detected originals as 11x17, no matter what size the original was. The problem ended up being the lights above the machine! I moved the machine a few feet and never had the problem again.
