    Bizhub 500 not printing

I can get into web interface, but it won't even print a configuration sheet from there.
Data light blinks but no print and won't show on job log as waiting to print.
All security is turned off, as well as user codes.
Latest and greatest drivers with V11 firmware. It printed before at old customers office, but I can't get it to print before I resell it.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

Check that the chip is installed (ic204 I think) and that all (and i do mean all) req sn#'s are input in service mode properly. If it's missing any then it may not print (depending on what sn# aren't in the machine)

    Regards!
    A.

Firmware v11 is pretty old. v3.0 or 3.1. If memory serves me right. If you set this up on a new network it is best to do a network initialization in tech rep mode. These things don't like overwriting old info.

          Chip is installed.
HDD bad so I removed it both physically and in service mode.
Machine scans to SMB so I know controller is good.
          Did full network reset twice.
Even tried HP 4 pcl driver.
Data light blinks, but no printing.
Are the universal drivers any good?
I am going to install the older drivers and update the firmware next.
Let you all know what I find.

These machines are goofy. It may be NVRAM. They cause all kinds of fun stuff with this model.

Try this...workes with some goofy network issues...ADMIN/NETWORK turn off TCP/IP. Cycle power..go back and turn on TCP/IP and cycle power once again. Try bringing MFP up in DHCP, then set to static. Emijo

                Turned out to be firmware.
Last customer didn't use it as a printer because their IT department couldn't get it to print.
                Go figure.
