KM C6500 SD501 Sheets remain in saddle stitcher

Anybody have any suggestions for a C6500 with a Pro80 with the warning "sheets remain in saddle stitcher" coming up in CWS. The machine will still run a config page from the fiery and do a booklet job in copy mode.

    All ideas gratefully received.

The fiery may need a kick....

Rebooting it may work, or even reset to factory defaults (drastic and not always a fix).

I would try ensuring that all the system patches are applied. You can do this via remote desktop into the fiery itself from another PC on the same network.

From the remote desktop command in windows, enter the IP address of the fiery.

    The login name and password..

    Administrator
    Fiery.1

    AS SHOWN, note upper case.

When there, open the start menu and select fiery update from the fiery menu. You can set the automatic updates as you see fit, but select the "update now" option and select all the patches available. If none of the patches were ever applied, you will see a long list of security patches for the windows portion. Scrolling down, you will see the fiery related patches. Unlike the windows patches, the fiery ones will have to be manually selected. Keep in mind that some fiery related patches are exclusive, meaning they have to be applied separately with a full reboot before the other patches can be applied, so you will have to go through this process twice at a minimum.

Also, try reseating the interface cable between the fiery and the machine at both ends. Be sure to have power off before doing this.

I have had this exact problem, this is a warning that the trimmer plate Pt No 15AN52822 in the rear of the SD501 needs replacing. You need to run some tests in Tech Rep to bring the plate to the correct position to remove (job takes about 10mins) Once the counter has been reset in Tech Rep the message will disappear.
