    c500 error code

    Hi we keep getting the following error code when trying to print sc46-91. does anyone have any experience on this one?

    yeah that rings a bell. I'm not 100% but i think i had same problem. If you reboot Fiery it worked OK for 1 to 3 months then same problem.
    I ended up cleaning out Fiery and remounting all boards and connectors then reloaded Fiery Software. Fixed mine. Hope this helps

      thanks ... we had a tech come down yesterday - he said it was an image board that cost a couple of thousand to replace... I hope we were not taken for a ride.

        Try reseating all connectors on the IPU board and if it has additional memory modules remove them reseat one at a time until you find the one that fails. This code is one of two things IPU board bad or memory module failed. Good luck.
        Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.

          Taking care of these kinds of problems is the reason you should have signed up for a service agreement.

          Not having a SA is kind of like driving without insurance. Happy about not paying for it.....until you really need it.

          FWIW, 99% of our new copiers over 20cpm are covered under a SA.

            btw even if you get the parts you need to fix the problem you canon technician will not know how to reflash the C500 if it needs to be done thats why a certified Konica Minolta technician is required.
