    6501 yellow toner problem

Hi all, have spent most of today on a 6501 which is coming up c2451 (low yellow toner concentration in dev unit). On inspecting the m/c I found the yellow drum to be coated with toner. I put the magenta dev unit in the yellow position with the same result. I fitted new corona units swapped drums around and fitted new potential sensors all to no effect. I`ve come to the conclusion that the HV has failed and there is no charge on the yellow drum and have ordered the HV boards, but I would be interested to see if anybody out there has had a similar fault. Looking forward to your replies...51

you may have a failure in the yellow dev unit itself. I had a similar code today but with the black...replaced the unit and developer in it and carried on....

    The PRCB controls that sensor.

Thats fine if its just gone undertoned, but in my case it was impossible to tone it up. As a foot note to all this, I had the fault again at a different customer about a week later and that was a HV1 failure as well. Sods law I suppose but at least theyre both fixed now!!!
