F-45 on a Konica 4145 . I cant figure this one out, some sort of intermittant scanner/lense issue but it always works when I\'m there.

you are in the right area. anything that pertains to codes in the 40\'s is in the optics.
make sure rails are lubed, both lens and scanner
make sure x lamp comes on.
check the scanner cable, is it frayed?
check the lens drive motor, the white plastic gear on the front cracks and the motor turns but the gear slips on the motor shaft
