    BIZHUB C35 slow multipage scan to PDF (SMB)

    Hi,

    I have successfully set up scanning to smb over Ethernet and is working well and speedy except when scanning more than 13 pages with ADF, after page 13 its slow to a crawl (slow scanning - each page stops at half scan). Since the machine was purchased because of its high speed of scanning its a big problem for us.

    Any idea - help? I hope its not a limitation of the device memory or anything similar (since the 20 page bw pdf its only 6 MB it should not be a problem)?

      Check the scan settings: even if your original is bw, the system treats them as if they were in color. Also reduce the resolution will help to create smaller files.

          Is the hard drive added and turned on in service mode? this will help.
          And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

              The hard drive in included as standard so it should be turned on? any suggestion how to quick check?

                  We were just fighting a similar problem with a C35 where it would actually time out and we ended up changing the network speed from auto to 100M duplex and it sped it up enormously. Might be worth a shot.

                      We have a 1000M ethernet and if the pages are less than 13 its scans and saves very quick but i will try to change to manual 1Gbit.

                          Also new firmware came out about a week ago and this may help.
                          And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

                              Changed to manual 1000duplex and its flying....

                                  Great, we have never had to change it from auto before, but it worked on this model. We tried the new firmware also but no change.
