I have to reinstall the system software on a PI5500 controller...
The only thing I see on the KM web site is System Code Version 2.0 released March 23, 2005 The file is an ISO file 201.7M
If that is what you think you need let me know and we will figure out a way of getting it to you.

I did find a reference to 3 patches for the Pi5500. See attached. But I could not find the actual patches anywhere, are you sure they are not included in the CD?

Before I had to re-format the hard drive, the configuration sheet under the update information paragraph used to say 1-5Q7BX (24 APR 2002) and 1-9O0A7.The Cd you sent me has no information on those updates, and now the config sheet shows no updates. But based on the sheet that you sent me since this server is connected to a Di550 and since there is no computer with windows NT unless the NT patch is necessary for windows XP as well, the only update I need is the 1-21OPR and may be update 1-5Q7BX. Any idea where I can get those from?
Thanks.
I found a whole bunch of patches, check PM for my download link.
After reading all those release notes of all those patches I realized that they were the ones I needed from the begining, and not the whole system software. The server was acting up and I thought that something was wrong with its memory HD etc, and after I took everything appart and I checked that all wires simms boards were seated correctly I concluded that I had to reformat. For 15 days now I spent hours on this server and the copier trying to understand what was wrong with it. When I bough this machine from ebay about a year ago the server had an admin password and I could not log in to set it to my environment. Since I had no idea about the system software, no manuals, and since EFI was not helpfull on the phone at all, I removed the hard drive I setup a Linux machine (for the first time I had to figure out how to work on a Linux OS) and I started digging in the files to remove the password. I managed to do that. But the server was acting up and I though that it was because of the inappropriate digging to remove the admin password. Typical problems were "restarting" "freezing" and copier freezing on scan mode. I was always telling my self "what did you expect for $100". But the copier its self is in pretty good shape ( have it for a year now and never had a problem) and Minolta is a good brand so I kept trying to resolve the problem. For the last couple of weeks I was determined to find the solution. Thanks to you I think my machine will run without any problems from now on. I will apply the patches that I find approriate for my environment and I will keep you posted.
Thanks again,
I re-installed the system software 2.0. The pi5500 was still rebooting restarting and hunging. I was desperate. I was thinking to just drop the idea of having the print server working and I thought to give it a last chance before i place it in the basement. I was doing diagnostics test email, and the email was not reaching my desktop. I knew the configuration was correct because it was working (not perfect but bearable) up until 3 weeks ago. So I thought to take a look on my exchange server. The fiery mailbox was flooded out by a misconfigured surverylance system that i had installed 3 weeks ago. I turned the email alarm of the surveylance system off and kaboom. Here it is, my printer server is back and working.
I installed these updates 1-4KLNC, 1-2IORP, 1-632RA, 1-7WUW1, and
1-9O0A7. The server now is running GREAT!!! no hickups no problems. The only one I would install (if I find it) is the 1-5Q7BX. It should be noted that update 1-632RA would make my problem go away from the begining. Thanks to pepper38_cnd help I have my server back running better than before.
I'm not a service tech but I am skilled with computers. I am looking to update my Fiery PI5500 with the newest system software (2.0?). Also I'm looking to go paperless in our office. I have a DI450 Copier and Twain commander software.
The Twain Commander Software enables me to program in commands in VB code so no user intervention is needed while scanning. I can still do it with the copier, but it requires user intervention. Instead of it scanning and then having to retrieve it from the Fiery unit, I would like it to just scan basically like any typical desktop scanner. If that is possible.
Thanks in advance
Joshua
P.S. Or if there is a way I can use command line options with Fiery scan 5 that would be helpful to know as that could eliminate the user intervention. I've looked everywere for 2 days and can find nothing useful.
