Magicolor 1690 MF - scanner motor stalls intermittently

[MFPTech]

Have a Magicolor 1690 MF that has a noisy scanner and the scanner motor stalls intermittently. Lubricated the scanner but did not make any difference. Replacing the motor does not seem to be an easy job.

Anyone has experienced this, please?
