    [Misc] Konica 7145 Firmware

    I need to update the firmware on a Konica 7145 and I am having trouble finding how exactly to do it. I have the firmware I just need some guidance on installing it on the copier.

      Use a laptop with a parallel port, a parallel cable, & the ISW utility from KonicaMinolta. Connect cable to parallel connector at right rear of mach. The system control part of the firmware comes in type 1 & type 2. You must know if you have a type 1 or 2 system control PCB. In service mode select ROM version, sometimes it will say type 1 or 2 next to sys control. If not, sys control ver32 or below is type 1, 41 or higher is type 2. Also I understand there is a PCMCIA to parallel adapter you can use if you have no laptop with a parallel port but I have never used one.

          ISW will also work from USB with this model too.
