I have noticed lately that you can buy rebuild kits for the konica minolta c450 which consist of a new drum, cleaning blade and developer. My question is - how do you add the developer? I know on this unit it has to go in the imaging unit but would it be poured into where the toner goes? Any ideas would be great.

Re: km 450 rebuild kits
Yes, you pour the developer right in the hole where the toner goes in...be careful, though, to pour a little, then manually drive the developer into the unit (you rotate the "gear" situated in the back of the unit), then pour a little bit more, again drive it, etc etc
Where did you get the rebuild kits? We are interested in buying to... Thanks!I don't help end-users. Hate me, give me bad reputation, I don't give a rat's a**. Pay a tehnician to solve your problem! We have to live too! What do you do when something hurts? Do you go to a doctor, or do you search it on google/ forums?Comment

Re: km 450 rebuild kits
If you are going to rebuild these units make sure that you chip the units as well. Konica minolta bases a lot of image factors off of the drum peculiarity, developer life and rotation time of the drum.these are all stored on the chip.Comment
