    SD501 Home Position Overrun

The SD501 is connected to a Konica 1050E. The unit has around 5.5 mil copies most of which are saddle stitched. Recently we have seen the bailer arms overrun home position, left stop plate overrun home position, and bundle press overrun home position. We have reseated all connectors going back to mainbody since this unit pulls all power from it. This will occassionally correct the issue. The DC 5V line seems steady and we have not detected a floating signal ground. The odd thing with the overrun is that it can be corrected by swapping two like sensors with eachother. Once they are swapped both seem to function as they should. We have tried to correct with a new SD mainboard, SD power supplies, and motors. Next step is to install new photosensors in the SD unit. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

check the wires where they bend. pretty sure you will find broken conductor inside causing intermitant connection.
