    Re: training

    Just pass/fail. That's it.

Most techs I know don't have much trouble making 80%, unless they were on a week long bender. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

But if you fail, it's a big black mark against you, and they revoke your return flight ticket. Emujo

        Re: training

You will get a report. It will have the exam grade as well as a rating of the tech in each area of training, mechanical, electrical, operations, etc.. It will be a scale of 1-5 five being best.

I have done the week long party and still passed 8050/ cf5001 school with a 95%.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

              Re: training

Every class I've ever been, even from other manufacturers, the managers will get for or ask for some feedback on how you did. I don't think they look at the score so much as just wanting some idea where you are at technically speaking.

On the subject of training, what does everyone think about the "outward" certifications? Are the expert or master worth getting?

Worth it if you will be working on production print systems...lot of good info for dealing with color issues. Emujo

                  Re: training

It would have been nice to have more than 5 days to complete the Outward Bound qualifications and the pre-training for the bizhub C360, while doing a normal weeks calls. It came right down to the wire. Friday at 16:15 I finished the last test, for class on Monday. Then C360 class and the pre-training for the bizhub 423 for next Monday.

Ordinarily training is a vacation from calls. That was 3 weeks of insanity. =^..^=
