    [Misc] c250 network problem

    DEAR ALL; i have a c250 but when i enter in the IP adress,subnet mask,default gateway the machine tells me to
    switch it off and then on, and when i do that the IP adress goes back to zero.ive tried several times but its the same case over and again what should i do......pliz help.

    are you sure that the m/c is telling you NOT to switch off as it is "accessing the network"

      yes it tells me to switch off but when l do it still no difference, the IP goes back to zero

        You are switching off the main power inside the front door, not the sub power on control panel?

          sounds like dhcp is on and there is no dhcp server.

            I have seen this before and it was a problem with the NIC.

            In my case, I had to replace the MFP board, but you might be able to get the NIC back online by initializing the NIC under the service mode.

            With these machines, you can't change the IP address unless you select manual which turns off DHCP.

            Yes you do need to use the power switch inside the front door and not the sub power switch on the control panel.
            Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

              You might need to reset the NIC using the special firmware tool.

                When I had this same problem, Mr Who's solution worked for me.
                Online Store is closed. Chip resetting is a thing of the past! Thank you to all my past customers.
