[CQ] C451 Copy Quality Poor vs Print Quality Good

We have a Konica Minolta bizhub C451 that has great printing quality, all colors, all densities it looks great.

When you make copies though all lighter densities for all colors will disappear. We have made multiple adjustments in Tech Mode under ADF/Scanning Light Adjustment with no success.

Any ideas?

needles to say that your copies will never be as good as your prints of course

Have you done a full reset and stabilization followed by Gradation adjust? How old is the scan lamp? Are the optics clean?

GOT IT!

We DECREASED the Background Removal under Quality/Density on the user end and then save it as default with Utility/User/Copier/Default Copy Settings/Current Setting. Copies look great now! It may be cheating but, it was quick, it was easy and the customer is happy.
