KM Bizhub 420 randomly changes the paper size from letter to A4???

Like the title says I have a KM BH420 that we installed a few weeks ago. Customer has called twice to say the copier will no longer print so when I arrive I find that the LCT paper size has changed from Letter to A4. So I go into the service mode and change it back and all is well. Until it changes back after a few days. Anyone seen this before and can tell me what might be causing it.

make sure that your machine is set to north American standards.
also check the paper tray side guides as well, I have had the plate on the under side of the paper tray set incorrectly from factory.
sometimes the screw will come lose and allow the tray size to change as well.

Power failure has done this to us! check the outlet. This machine is sensitive to power spikes and drops.

I thought there was a firmware update for the issue.

If date and time also changes, you may have a bad battery on main pcb. With out battery machine will reset to factory settings everytime it looses power.
