where did you get this old relic? my best advice would be to tell you to throw it away and buy somthig at least kinda current. but here is something to try.

Description:
F28-3 displayed while copying.
Solution:
HV(C) (separation) abnormality.
Perform a clearing operation. Set 25 mode, P44 to 0. Then turn machine OFF/ON.
PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. Paper neutralizing corona wire is broken.
Inspect the corona wire (p/n 500026080) for proper installation. Replace the wire if it is broken.
2. Arcing or poor grounding to paper and/or drum discharge corona units. Thoughly clean both corona units and ensure proper grounding. If problem reoccurs, replace corona units.
Paper discharge corona unit (p/n 5040-2650).
Drum discharge corona unit (p/n 5040-2700).
