    C360/C452/452 scan issue

Just curious if anyone else is running into this. Copies are fine but scans are light/blurry. We have been changing the default original settings from "Text/Photo" to "Text" to fix it. Older models "Text/Photo" seems to be fine, but some of the newer ones with certain originals it needs changed.

We haven't had any complaints about these machines with the scanning so far.

We also use the factory default of Text/Photo, but on install, we make sure our customers are aware that if they are scanning something particular in, then they should play with the orginal setting.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

you may have checked already, but what are the other settings at (resolution, contrast, density, etc...)??

IF scanning at like 150 dpi or something then it's not going to be that clear. I believe copies are like 300dpi or more by default.

        Re: C360/C452/452 scan issue

When presented with this situation I got the best results with these original settings:

        resolution: 600x600
        original type: printed photo
        density: standard
        sharpness: +3
        bleed removal: +2

But be prepared for the file size to increase by a factor of 4.
I was truly impressed with the scan image quality. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
