finiser fs503 function without the ru508 ?

I have c6500 with ic 408 and finisher fs 503 but dont have u 508. can operate the system ?

ru is required for this finisher. In USA it is the ru503 option.

If I remember correctly the IC-408 baby Fiery will not function with anything that requires the RU so you will need either the bigger Fiery or the CREO controller also.

this is correct, you could also use on of the non production finishers.

Ok, so all of the following was tested personally:

C6500 + IC408 isn't going to work with FS503 or FD501 (just like someone else said)
C6500 + FS503 cannot work alone, you need RU504 OR C6500 + FD501 + RU503.

The FS503 and RU503 don't have separate power supplies. FD501 and RU504 have their own power supplies, so you need to combine one option with power supply with one without.

With IC408, you can use FS607; also, this Fiery model supports PF601 (obviously, LU202 too).

If you want to use a finisher with relay unit, you need Fiery IC303 or Creo IC304.
