I'm getting a code c3851 on the Konica c252.
Can this only be reset with a new fuser unit or replacing the pico fuse?

im going to say no. if its giving temp errors resetting the life counter of fuser wont make any difference.

If it continues to throw this code even after a trouble reset then YES, replace the fuser.

I'm looking thru the manual, I can't find the way to reset a trouble code. How do you do it? where in the manual does it show this?

if you have the service manual & you have read it...then you know that alongside the description it says the reset type is "RANK A"....you should be able to find what you need from there with a little further reading

yea thanks for the kind response. sometimes konica hides that info or words it so you can't tell that its a reset. I was just looking for a quick fix as I am new to this machine. I have done some more looking and did find the reset info.

Also thank you for the other responses, still having a problem so I will replace the fuser.

Just start the copier from the main button with the Utility / Counter pressed. Keep this button pushed until you will see Trouble Resetr button on the LCD. Release the button and touch the button on the display; an 'ok' should appear beneath. Restart it from the main button. Voila!
