    konica minolta 250 cl3 replacement

can anyone tell me how to get to the first drawer feed clutch. i have not worked on the 250 much so i am not real familiar. i took out the first feed unit and can see it back there but have not been able to get to it from any direction. i am probably overlooking the easy way. paper will not feed from first drawer. thank you for any ideas.

you need to remove the bypass completely, then the 2nd tray feed unit, then you can remove the feed unit, you'll need to remove the back cover when you reassemble it, to reconnect the connector
Tip for the day; Treat every problem as your dog would.....If you cant eat it or f*ck it....then p*ss on it & walk away...

Why are you guys replacing those clutches so often? We just blow them out with compressed air and than soak them with brake cleaner. Blow the liquid out again after a minute that's it.

With hard to reach clutches we even try to do this in the machine sometimes.

I'd rather replace the clutch than "soak it in brake fluid"

        No creativity points.

It's possible to plug in without taking off back cover. The whole thing is a pain

Works well, believe me. Doing this since the EP-5400 / 4050 / 5000 / Di-550 years without problems.

As long as they are not sticky from residual magnetism it works and even in that case they can be demagnetized with an AC coil.

We are Indys not a big company and have to cut costs by any means. Those clutches are not the cheapest.

those clutches are under $10, they go straight in the bin with the slightest doubt with me.

Also, i have replaced the tray 1 feed clutch in situe with minimal disassembly, but it requires advanced contortionist skills. (like most things designed by the japs)

It is way cheaper to replace it the first time than to have to drive back three days later and take it all apart again.

This PITA clutch reminds me of a helpful hint!

When a e-clip is at risk of falling put a dab of grease on it. it will stick in place letting you clamp it down with one hand.

over here those would cost a customer $19.5 +vat so they can't be that expensive... looks to me like someone is making alot of money on them...
