Does anyone know how to restore the upper fuser roller

    Hi,

I have several upper fuser rollers with just a few lines which tends to leave a mark on the copies, before I throw them away, I would like to know if there is any way (Known methods) I can restore them if they are not too damaged.

    Thank you.

The answer then is no. They are a Teflon Coated roller. Apart from getting the entire roller resurfaced which will probably be more expensive than a new one.

in the days of analog copiers I used plumbers teflon tape on rollers to get it going until I came back with the roller but never waited for how long it would last, you could give that a try.
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.

They are aluminium so i would recycle and get a few bucks for them.

Perhaps they need to start coating aluminium fusing rollers with "Flavorstone" non stick coating. Since they crap on endlessly about how awesome it is compared to teflon.

Lets put it to the real test inside a fusing unit.

I heard someone had success using that flex-seal crap, you know the commercial where they install a screen door in the bottom of a fishing boat and spray the screen door with it. I was surprised when I heard it worked......I haven't had the opportunity to try it yet, but I'll let ya know...

Nail polish should work. Maybe whiteout.

OK. Seriously, you've got to be kidding. I have seen a mystery substance used. Painted on like nail polish ... and it didn't work worth a shit. =^..^=
