I've spent plenty of time on here but seldom post as I'm not in a position to advise. I too am trying to earn a living by learning to use my machine to it's best use and, thanks to some helpful people, I can mostly do that. I'm not really interested in this keyboard warrior stuff either, just want to learn. It's a public forum, so I don't really know why you've got a problem with this...
Don't worry about it. Some people on here get upset if your not a tech because they say your taking food out of their mouth. Some don't know or care that your just trying to make a living also by doing what you do.

That's completely understandable - I've made peace with Paul and there's no hard feelings. What some need to be aware of is that, asides from the fact we can't all get contracts, there's some techs out there that don't know their dicks from their ears! I've had 3 out and 2 of them knew less about the machine than I do (and that's saying something)! I had one guy with 12 years on the job telling me i should be vaccuuming the dev units to clean them! Even if I was on a contract, I would still want to know as much as possible - e.g. Avoid 24hrs downtime 'cos there's a fibre blocking the laser. 99% of users won't waste their time getting their hands dirty, the other 1% aren't affecting anybody IMO.

GAMMA ADJUSTMENTS.pdftry this . this has helped me in a lot of color issues hardly anyone resets and readjusts the gamma sensors , and no one ever cleans the optic mirrors under copy glass this sets the white point calibration for the gamma you will see a night and day diffeance after performing this adjustment

Thanks lucky, I'd found a guide that another member had posted mentioning that, was going to try that next.
