    c352 jam tray 2

Client suddenly getting a lot of jams from tray two. We replaced feed tires and still getting jams. Is this a bad clutch on the feed assembly or on the back of the machine?

    Thanks

possibly is rust, as I had few times that problem on c25_/c35_ and bizhub 250/350 series.
Only bypass working perfectly. try to open and clean clutch, works for me

Have you flushed the one-way clutches in the feed assembly and roughed up/de-glazed the shaft? they're well dodgy.

Are these in the back of machine or on feed assembly that can be removed out the side?

The one way units are on the paper feed section that is taken out from the RH side of the copier. I would also check the torque limiter of the sep roller is turning ok.

Clean the shafts where the one way "clutches" ride, you may see a dark or shiny band. Use a ScotchBrite pad or fine sandpaper to remove the bands.
              Replace the clutches,
Lightly oil the shafts and clutches.
Clean the photo sensors on the vertical conveyance sections,
Replace the spring clutch on the 2nd tray feed unit.

just to throw a cat among the pigeons, I had a c352 last year where I replaced the complete feed unit of tray 2, the tray itself, the jam access door and all the tray feed motors and wiring at the rear from a known good machine and it still had frequent jams from tray 2.

I never ended up solving that problem, all other trays were perfect and it was a 4 tray config.
