[CQ] Banding on B920

Hi Guys,

I have a B 920 (2.5 million copies), suddenly the machine were starting to make dark bands on main scan direction. Only weird part of it all, it happen only on A3, if we rotate the image it stays at the same position, we printed a different file (grey patch) and got the same result. I printed a test pattern on the machine and the lines were not there. Seems like a ghost or something in the machine, but if not the case have anybody seen this type of problem.....?

I have attached samples for you to see.

no 1 the image we picked the problem up.
no 2 the grey patch we printed from the PC.
no 3 the test page from the machine.

can you run the PATCH pattern (NO 12 @ 255)...

Do you have the Recycling kit on the unit.


My first guess would be Web, but i cant tell if its the web or not... I would make sure the web is not out, or stuck... can caused banding.


Whats are the PM COUNTS (DV, DRUM, & PM KIT).....

Thanks for the input.

I will print the test page when I'm next at the customer.
To answer your question, the PM life stands on 450K so it is still a bit till next PM.
I have swopped the whole fuser section around yesterday, with no luck, so that would probably rule out the web as well.

Will still try a new web when I see the customer again.
