From Tech bulletins: RU-508/HM-1021. J-7551 or J-7552 occurs if the guide plate under the entrance is not fully locked2. Water leakage of HM-101/1023. J-7550 occurs due to misdetection of the entrance sensor. OR------------------------Description J-7550. When a copy/print cycle is started, the paper will jam as it enters the external fuser unit. Solution CAUSE: Sensor PS13 (paper entrance to EF-101) is knocked out of place and may have shorted 5V DCto metal guide plate. ICP15 isOPEN on EFCB.
Note : There is no indication on themain body that could indicate any fault with the external fusing unit (EF-101). The jam codereferences the
RU-508Entrance sensor (PS1)not turning ON within a specified period of time.Usually when ICP15 is OPEN, C-5024 error code is indicated.
SOLUTION: Reposition PS13 and replace EFCB (p/n A1RJ H010 03).
