On other models of Konica Minolta, when he machine keeps warming up, it is looking for toner to complete the job. If the bottle has toner, and conditions are humid, you may have to clean out the hopper under the bottle holder. The toner could stick together around the auger, not allowing it to feed into the DV box.The greatest enemy of knowledge isn't ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge. I have a machine with over 1M copies that just started this today. I'll let you know what happens. RET
Edit: after a little research, I vote TCSB. I had already cleaned out the process unit. I'll hose out the toner supply unit tomorrow first....cheaper!Last edited by RockETop; 05-16-2008, 03:40 AM.Comment

I would do the above first. I have also had a faulty Dmax sensor cause this problem also. Make sure the sensor is very clean. If you check the service code counter you may see a few dmax errors listed..Comment

It may sound kind of strange, but I had one of these machines that would go to warm up and not come out unless the power was reset. I checked everything and all seemed ok. With nothing left to do, I flashed the machine. It already had the latest firmware, but I did this anyway. It's been months now, and the problem has not came back.Comment

Could be a bad front door interlock switch, they can cause weird problems.Online Store is closed. Chip resetting is a thing of the past! Thank you to all my past customers.

Contact tech support. They know of this problem and have step by step things to check. Everyone else here has offered great advice and is sending you on the right path for what to check. Ultimately if all other fixes don't work you may have to follow the TAD under solutions for this model that walks you through resetting the machines firmware to the base level and then steps you through each phase of firmware revisions to bring it current. We had one doing this exact thing you described that required a complete firmware rewrite and has been fine since. Check "Solutions" for the TAD on mykonicaminolta.comAfter all is said and done, More is said than done.Comment

you will get this message warming up once you find that the Drum unit is heavily contaminated and the dmax sensor is not reading the correct value .You need to clean the drum unit throughly and then check the drum area above the Dmax sensor if it is wornout compared to rest of the area, then replace the drum. Next check that your bias to the DV tank is in proper contact with the DV roller and correct the problem This will avoid frequent contamination of the Drum unit and your Problem will be set.Comment
