    C224 A3 Paper Exit Problem

Hi Guys, looking for some help.

We have a C224 that when running A3 paper the sheets dont move all the way onto the exit. They eventually start blocking the exit and it jams.

Ive tried fresh paper with no joy. its almost as if the paper sticks to eachother.

    Anyone had anything like this?

Sounds like a static issue ?
Check the static brushes on the exit
    Hard to say really

Dont really know about this model but ive had this exact problem on several older machines
Almost always it was from the fuser, the plastic straw-like thingy that interrupts the sensor that detects the paper path
in the fuser became bended from heat and started making this problem.
Spoke kinda plain but thats all i can remember
I don't like the new copier I just bought. It says "put face down" but every time I do it, it blinds my eyes.

Have had this same A3 jamming problem (the top edge of the paper typically stops at approx the first sensor it hits on the vertical transport section). Try cleaning that sensor but if it still persists, there's a parts modification for both Tray 1 and Tray 2 regarding a new type of pickup roller. Instead of using the same part number as the feed roller (which is unchanged and still A00J563600) it's now a ribbed roller and part A5C1562200. This was on 9/9/13 and applies to these trays for the C224/284/364/454/554 and their corresponding "e" series cousins. Also, you may want to replace the entire unit as mentioned in my post on http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/sh...271#post392271 Hope that helps.
