    BizHub 161f

    Customer wanted a back up machine to use primarily for fax machine. I have a low meter 161f, figured I would sell cheap.
    Tested in shop and fax worked fine, could hear dial tone.
    Got to customer no dial tone. Tried a different cord, still no dial tone

    They had a small thermal ribbon machine there that was working fine so I know the cord and jack is good.

    The only thing I can think of is they have VoIP. Can this work with VoIP? I have copper lines at my shop.

      For sure VOIP will not work. I had this issue even with larger machines such as BH-350 with faxkit.

          Hans,

          I figured it might have to do with VoIP. I also had problems with the Biz 200/250/350 faxing over VoIP but it was for issues like not being able to receive but would send fine. There was always a dial tone.
