C352 false jam fuser area

[mrfuser]

Client complained machine shows jam in fuser area periodically and no paper present. Went there and sure enough saw that. Swapped fuser and same error. Go into service mode and no jams show under counter for jams.


Sensors check show that Exit Sensor has a 1 on it. Does this indicate a second bad exit sensor on the fuser unit that we replaced?

any ideas?

The second fuser was new?if not maybe the sensor flag is bent from heat,after the fine copy runs.

Back in the the old Minolta days, (DI 450) a jam caused by an interlock would not register in the jam counters....something else to check.

What jam code is it registering? Check the actuator in the fuser. There is a new style actuator that does not warp as easy. Try adjusting the loop and see if it has any effect on the jamming.

Replaced fuser twice still shows jam with little circle on right side and shows to open side door!!!
