DI 2010 noise when replenishing toner

As the title suggests. There is a click/grind noise when toner is being supplied. I have seen the bottle lift up as it turns and then it seems to stop and starts clicking. The customer is using generic toner, but I am certain that is not the cause. Do these models have a problem with the drive gears wearing down or is it possible that the toner cradle is faulty. I had the toner cradle apart and did clean the plastic bushing but the problem persists.

    Thanks in advance.

You need to order the toner add assembly. They bend the shaft that holds the bottle drive gear.
    Hope this helps

copier addict is correct. You can just get the bracket and rebuild it, that takes an extra 30 minutes. It is major surgery. If you rebuild it, be very careful. I have gone behind techs who missed a clip and a gear wouldn't engage. You don't want to do this twice.

Thanks, do you know what part of the parts manual that is found in. I looked at the toner hopper assy, and the rear frame. Cant find it in either.

Not off the top of my head. It is a bracket assembly, lots of gears and 2 solenoids, and the main shaft coming out, is what locks into the toner rotation cup. If you pull the toner drawer out and look in, you will be looking at the top part of it. Will have to remove finisher and rear covers,

It the manual it will show as a break down and as an assembly.

Ok, I found the bracket. Does anyone know the part number for the assembly? I really do not want to rebuild this as it is in a womans home. The parts manual that I am looking at does not show it as an assembly. I think I found the braket on Precision ... http://www.precisionroller.com/searc...4-02&x=19&y=13

The part # for the assembly is 4030 0788 00.

Thanks !!!!! This will really help. I have a suspicion that it may just turn into a new machine sale now given the price.
