C2152 on KM C220

Hi

I am getting a C2152 on my Bizhub C220.

FYI When I opened the machine the waste toner pipe was clogged and there was substantial quantity of waste toner spewed in the machine .


On the manual it says Transfer Belt Pressure welding alienation. I dont know how to check the sensor for operation and how to just to run the M1 motor to check their working .

Secondly When i keep the front door open and side door open and I switch on the machine it boots up and shows the C2152 error. With my past experience with copiers I dont think a machine should give the code when the doors are open .Is there something else I should be checking here .

You need to clean out the spilt toner from the transfer belt pressure sensor, if you are lucky you may be able to vacum it out from the top of the machine after removing the belt unit and toner cartridges. If you then take the top covers off it should be possible to get at the sensor and the actuator. Before you refit the belt unit, remove the chute that transports the waste toner into the waste box and then cut off the tongue of sponge seal that goes down into this chute from the top side. Just leave the seal on the top edges. There is a mod instruction for this but I have long since lost it! This will stop the toner clogging in the chute and cause the backup in the cleaning are of the belt.

I use a can of compressed air with the pipe attached to get to it.

Cheers, is the best way to get to it by taking the belt out and reaching in?

You probably can. When this happens its time for a good dust service so i blow it out after i remove the controller from the back of the machine. On the B/C 654 i clean it by taking out the transfer belt its its more to the front than a C220. Drawback to that is it gets paper dust in there.

After more than seven years, maybe he doesn't remember jejeje... it's the transfer band or the sensor PS39
