    Bizhub C284 Service mode

    Hi,

This might sound like a stupid question but when I go to Menu - Counter there is no KeyPad tab below or above the Meter Count.

Any ideas how to call the service mode please?

    Thanks in advance!

This or if it is an e series, top left corner there is a soft key labeled 'Display Keypad' and bam there you go.

Thank you for your help and for saving my the embarrassment!
However, not sure if I am the stupid one or Konica for coming up with such an inconsistent design.

When going through the keystrokes to enter service mode, go slowly, like 2 seconds between each keystroke. If you don't hear the beep with each keystroke it won't work. I'm thinking of the e-series. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

We turn the sounds off at my work. You can do it without the beep. I just go at a steady pace. Too little or too much time between the keystrokes causes it to not work.

What was wrong with hard keys anyway?

I have been on training for bizhubc454e for a while.
They said that the machine recogneizes the touch on the
touchpad but just doesnt beep. There must be a soundlag or something.
Just switch off the keypadsound and everything is fine.

Physical keypad is a option now. Funny how things like duplex and dual scan that use to be optional extra are now standard but keypad that's been around for years as standard is now the option
