I use a sandisk 4Gb usb stick formatted in FAT32 format for updating fw on all USB capable machines without issue.

I also have an old kingston 4Gb stick I have been using almost every day for 5 years which is still faster, unfortunately it is starting to fail to be recognised by the computer and copiers and or corrupting the data resulting in download n.g. If i could find more new old stock of these i would buy a box full it has been awesome.

You can get good quality 2 gb drives on eBay, the are so cheap I keep one for each machine & update them every couple of months
