Thank you for the reply, to day I replace a complete fede df 701 same problem. I change also the memory same problem.

If the second side brush is stalling in the gain adjustment position and the paper stops dead in its tracks and then throws the code, replace the mfp board.

(after you have replaced the black second side CIS cable first as these ALWAYS fail, you have already done this by changing adf, so go ahead with board and let me know)
