ok I am done with C451's

all c451's that i have have the same issue same head ache BLACK IU

    1. The First Pages shadow gets printed on the Second page

The black color gets white grains on it

i had 6 K IU, all of them have the same problem, either shadow or Grains

so i had it!! i am switching

is bizhub C452/652? a better alternative?
or should i go for Canon 5185i or canon c4030

    Or Taskalfa c250i

    Which is MOST reliable?
kindly advice on both B/W & Color from your experince

We have 4 C452's in the field and have very little issuses with them.
You're headaches will not get any better if you get a Kyocera 250ci--or any Saturn type machine.
Can't comment on the Canons, we don't any of those under maintenance.

I agree the C451 k IU are so problematic, dumping dev the worst fault, but on some the small bracket helps.

The C452/C552 are a great work horse, never had any real issues, all units seem to hit life & beyond!

In my opinion way better than Canon, their drums etc only just hit life & thats short as it is!

If you want to change go for the latest c654e.The c452 are quite old now but much much better than the c451. I worked on various colour manufactures and i have to say starting from c360 range and up they are far superior to ricoh, canon, kyocera. Not 100% sure on the latest generation from other manufactures, but if history if anything is to go by I would stick to konica just not the c451.

Agreed. The "2" series was better but until you hit the "4" series, you're still going to be chasing a lot of noises from the fuser drive area. As far as the Kyocera idea, I'm not sure what they're newest latest greatest is now, but the 250/300/400/500c series wasn't worth the time it would take to drop them off a cliff.

Re: ok I am done with C451's

4 series sounds and looks good most probably will work well too, but its way out of my budget (<1k$)

i meet another dealer he said he imported some DEMO machines from JAPAN both canon and bizhub including c452 all of them used for display purpose and less then 1k copies ONLY

but he is selling the biz hub for 3.5K$
and canon starting from 2K dollars
these machines although not used but still are 5 to 7 years old! but would be better i guess

if this OCE 4522c gives me any problem i will, call him and try those too

what possible problems can i face with c452 and based on the counter print i attached what do you think about the machine i bought

Now, Now ..... once you replaced all the drums and developers with updated units as well as the newer transfer belts and fusers and firmware and drive motors , the machines weren't too bad.

forget the KYocera 3-digit ci's! Haven't had your C451 problems, but the newer Kyoceras are quite happy. 4550 ci. 5550ci run well, give good yields and low costs per color page. 6550ci is a champ. Kyocera dual-scan feeders are superb.
