Sounds like the motor (M2) may be the issue since you replace the processing unit. The only other things that would cause a backup in the pipe would be bad gears on the dev unit or toner recycler clutch (CL14) not firing. Do load checks 41-3 (M2 at LS357) to see if the motor turns smoothly. Also check 54-0 (CL14) fires properly. After that, you are more than likely looking at a faulty PRCB.

I just unplug the clutch from day 1, so it just keeps running all of the time. I have seen a couple where the drum cover was missing. The pipe can unclip with handling giving the toner no where to go.
That drive is strong enough to break the auger.
