    CS 300ci

looking for a little parts help.

trying to find the part number of the harness that goes from YC2 of the front sub pwb to the YC19 of the engine board. I believe that I have a broken wire that is giving me a 7104 code, I have replaced the dv unit and the sub pwb with no change.

anyone happen to have that harness part number handy?

parts list rev.3 does not show this harness and therefore not listed. You many have to look at a scrap dealer or contact kyocera , or someone here may have a scrap machine.
On the other hand, why not do a continuity check on the wires to be sure and may be you can repair that harness. harness are robust and unless pinched or cut they usually stand up well, with kyocera at least.

what's that part number for the harness ?.

There is a bulletin for this error. tonerkiller is correct as to the colour dev motor. there are two motors for the devs, one for black and the other for colour. swap the motors, then if the motor problem then you should get 7101 error. [black dev motor error]

          1.
Remove the related motor and measure the resistance value of the fuse with a Digital Meter.
          2.
If the resistance value at both ends of the fuse is between 200KΩ and 350kΩ, replace the Motor.
(If the resistance value is near 0Ω, the Motor is not the cause of the problem. Please check the Developer Unit, Drum Unit, etc.)

          fuse 1p1 on motor

would other codes show up for this if the color dv motor is bad?

Possibly yes, but mainly the developing unit that's low on toner. So it could be a bad color developing drive motor, or perhaps the yellow toner cartridge is compacted. Have you attempted to manually turn the yellow toner cartridge agitator and the yellow developing unit?

I really doubt that you have a harness issue. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Make sure that the coupler that drives the dv unit has not broken off.
