Hi, I have a problem with this kyoceramita fs1018 scan to email. If gives me error 3101, meaning authentication error, although I am trying to use the same mail account as that of the client, and also using authentication, login and name and password? Any help.

Hello, Has it ever worked? run ipconfig /all .....and make sure your dns server is programmed into the machine correctly also your ip address and subnet. Can you print? If the sever requires auth are the settings the same? recheck pop and smtp settings. recheck all settings from a networked pc and make sure they are the same .......RBLast edited by anthony123; 08-30-2008, 12:50 AM. -
i work on toshiba's but from experience on them, usually if scan to email won't work a couple of things need to be correct, 1st is the primary & secondary wins servers, if they have moved and are on a different server maybe they are using different wins servers. 2nd is their firewall, you may need the ip/mac setting as allowed for smtp communication.
can you scan to file? if you can the wins are probably ok, if not thats another sign that they are set incorrect.Happiness Is The Road.Comment
