Kyocera FS-C5400 maint kit parts cross reference

    The Kyocera FS-C5100 , FS-C-5200 , FS-C5300 , FS-C5400 , and the ECOSYS P7035cdn
Are almost identical machines. Can the dv units and the drum kits be used interchangeably on this series(I see the part#'s are different)? We have a maint kit MK-550 which is for the FS-C5200 and am wondering what the difference is ....................are the drum kits and dv kits identical to the MK-570 but have a different chip installed preventing their use or are those parts completely different? I signed on to Kyocera tech site and could find no information on maint kit cross compatability. Comments much appreciated..............

If you check the appendixes at the end of the service manual, specifically Maintenance Parts List, this tells you exactly what parts are in each MK.

I dont know about swapping chips round on those drums and devs etc. I know we have done it successfully on the drums for the 250Ci and 500Ci machines.

    FYI - MK550 is to be replaced at 200k, MK570 is 300k.

A little off topic, but the 500ci drums will work in all Saturns, but the 250ci/300ci drums only work in the lower speed machines. If I remember correctly from class, the blanking LED assembly is different ... maybe more elements? I can remember.

Most likely, the main difference will be the EEPROM chips in the units. IMHO, not worth the hassle. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
