check to see if it's recognizing the paper in the adf tray. If it is, make sure all of your sensors are clear. I had a 3140 that did just that, not showing that it had a jam, but there was a paper clip holding a sensor down. There's no way to check adf sensors or switches.

My doc feeder on the kyocera does not want to start up and pull paper through might I be missing a setting?
