Okay guys, I want to reason this one out right. I have two FS-C2626MFP. I brought them in house for the retrofits to be replaced in them to stop the excess splurge of toner. Includes Cams and waste toner motor yea that long procedure. I tech was assigned but after installing and fitting up, he started to get " Toner container improperly installed" error message on both. It has been 1 year now, so I was assigned, I started by trying to find the source of the issue, therefore I tooo the main pwb and the engine EEPROM from both and put them in another machine, that was working before and they both came up with the same error message. Do you think a should purchase some new ones or is there a fix for it. Thanks.

My guess is the toner feed cams have been assembled incorrectly, consistently. As unpleasant as it sounds, you'll probably have to go back through the entire procedure. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I see I might have lost you. But I took the Main PWB and EEPROM from the machines the retrofits were in and put them in a machine that is working okay. The machine that is working okay came up with the same message.Comment

Re: Professionals Only Question lol. FS-C2626MFP.
Are you using the same toner from the machines that have the problems on the machine that was working ok. If you did, then check that the cams on the toner container that opens the toner add slot is fully turned to the closed position. don't really know how to explain that to you, but if you have a new toner look at the position of the cam on the toner cartridge and compare it with the rest.
The message you are getting has nothing to do with the main board. If you remove the high voltage pwb on the right hand side, you will see the 4 cams that open the toner container. The black plastic that covers those cams has a projection that engages the toner install sensor. Open the clamshell with all the toner installed and see if the black plastic is engaging the sensor and slide the plastic left to right, it should move smoothly. see pg. 33 of the file below.
Here is the mod kit instructions posted by someone.
This machine will test your patience, so be prepared to spend time if you have not done this before, that is the mod kit.

Check the connection of the wire going to the toner container detection sensor and make sure it is inserted fully. It is a little awkward to insert the wire into that sensor, so double check that. page 33 of the file i previously posted on this thread. In fact, remove the connector and reinstall it to make sure it is in there correctly.THE ONLY THING FOR EVIL TO TRIUMPH IS FOR GOOD MEN TO DO NOTHING..........edmund burkeComment

I know the cam solve the toner image quality issues but the error message, is it still on the EEPROM since it contains all the machine info.
Machine A = Working prefectly Fine Machine B = Installed retrofit but has "toner improperly installed error message"
Machine A = prints a status page Machine B= Main PWB and Engine EEPROM removed to be replaced in Machine A
Machine A= contains Machine B Main Board
and Engine EEPROM
Machine A= "toner improperly installed error message"
Thats what happen, I have not replaced back the Main board and Engine EEPROM as yet.Comment
