Olivetti D-Copia 16 paper is unclean in the other side of the printed paper

    Hello All,

    I have an Olivetti D-Copia 16.

It prints the image ok. The problem is that it gives a spotted or a taint in the other side of the plain paper the not printed one.

Any guess to where the problem is will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

The problem is that it has some cheap non-oem toner inside. If you look closely, you can notice the light gray background on the printed side too. To remove it you will have to vacuum the developer unit (it's mono-component, so it's fine), put the oem toner in, and run U130 to replenish.

Are you sure about that Kyo Fan? This looks like a Sharp re-badge to me (Puma or Jaguar). =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

That appears to be the 16W whereas the 16MF looks like a 2550. I have to assume the OP means the 16MF?

I could be wrong, but it looks to me like KM-1650/2550.

            Its definitely KM1650!
Change toner and vac the dev unit!
Also check contacts on transfer roller and clean pressure roller with fuser cleaning cloth!

            Byting on bits.
.OK Google! ... will I need Berrocca this morning?

The D16 was the same machine as the KM-1620. Kyo-fan is correct. Ancient machine, but a great one.
